Introduction

What’s going on everybody? Sean Daniel here with Guitar Control and today one of my all-time favorite Bob Dylan songs; It’s All Over Now Baby Blue. Super easy song to play and has a really one kind of chord progression that repeats. I think it’s a really good way to memorize one longer chord progression by breaking it into chunks. So anyways it’s gonna sound a little bit like this… so basically that’s just kind of like the whole chord progression and that loops with different lyrics.

Using A Capo w/ It’s All Over Now, Baby Blue

Okay so first thing you may notice on How To Play It’s All Over Now, Baby Blue By Bob Dylan is the capo is on the second fret here and it just kind of starts with the harmonica thing. I just played a little bit faster than the original album tempo of the song, but really it’s whatever you want to do, you can use that without a capo and then this one might be a little easier to sing because you can go a little bit lower.

Strumming

Notice I’m kind of striking the root of the chord first? Because a lot of times in the recorded version is kind of like a rough down up down up down up down up down up down one two three one two three, however whatever is more comfortable for you, but a lot of times in that song is kind of like go; one two and three and four and one two and three and four, and you can do the whole song with the chords, it’s more about the timing then it is the directional strumming.
