THIS IS VIRTUWUL HERE — YES THE HARMONICS (AND THE NOTES/PITCHES) CHANGE AS YOU MOVE THE PICK AROUND. IT’S SIMILAR TO MOVING YOUR FINGERS AROUND ON THE FRETBOARD WITH THE NATURAL HARMONICS. YOU GET A DIFFERENT PITCH ON TOP OF THE 12 FRET THAN YOU DO ON THE 7TH FRET.
THE KEY IS TO PLAY AROUND, EXPLORE AND HAVE FUN. AS LONG AS YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TECHNIQUE LIKE I SHOW ON THE VIDEO — YOU’LL BE “MAKING IT SQUEAL ALL NIGHT LONG.” : )

In 25 years of guitar playing, I never understood the concept of false harmonics. That is, until I saw your video and learned that the note must be struck at one octave above the fretted note. Thank you for that 50 megaton insight!
Hey, think you have it mixed up dude… an Artificial Harmonic is what Metallica use at the intro to Sanitarium.. what your doing is called a Pinchie Harmonic !!!
ACTUALLY AN ARTIFICIAL HARMONIC IS THE SAME THING AS A PINCH HARMONIC. THE HARMONIC ON SANITARIUM INTRO IS A NATURAL HARMONIC. – CLAUDE
