The first thing we’re going to do when I play these are at very slow speed to start off let’s check out the chords I’m playing the first one an E minor 7 for those of you who don’t know this chord I am placing my index finger all across the 7th fret I’m from the 5th to the 1st string but then I am placing my ring finger on the 9th fret of the 4th string and my middle finger on the 8th fret of the 2nd string. I’m going to the C major 7 and I am placing my index finger on the 3rd fret of the 5th string ring finger on the 5th fret of the 4th string middle finger on the 4th fret of the 3rd string and pinky finger on the 5th fret of the 2nd string so the idea with this is that you have this kind of groove like this, and you should be using your fingers instead of a peak for that pick you are only using it for your base on the 3rd and 2nd string.

After that you’re going to do this really cool lick that it’s a little bit gospel it’s a little bit depending on you know depending on your sound and how you play it in the backing track but it’s a little bit you know like groovy so full so we’ll be using a lot of slides so get ready we’re going to place our ring finger on the 14th fret of the 3rd string and pinky finger on the 15 for the 2nd straight and you’re going to slide it up 2 frets and then you’re going to pull off to the 12th fret and you should have your index finger right there and then you go above to the 4th and 3rd string and you’ll play the 12th fret and you’re going to slide up to a 14 and back then you’re going to go down into the 9th fret 4th string and 3rd string again and you  slide onto a 7 and I’m back to the 9th and then you’re going to go down right there and 9th fret of the 3rd string in 10th fret on the 2nd string and you  slide down 2 frets.

The only thing that I suggest is that you try each part individually because this is a little bit hard especially if you’re not used to a lot of sliding, so try this first or even try it slowly then try that pull off right there it’s a little bit unconventional and hard but you can do it and practice that so it’s a little bit of a trick run and then put all together once you get them ready just go and then you can use this not only in this push I mean any this is based on E minor so if you want it to like take it to another progression you just have to like transpose it you know bring it up to fret or for example if I were to play this Lucy mine or I would have to bring this entire.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this lesson on and that you’re able to incorporate more sliding licks into your playing as usual don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube Channel for daily guitar lessons also I would love to know what topic you would like me to cover in my next video so leave a suggestion down below thank you so much for watching not so fast don’t go anywhere I got a bunch of videos all over the screen so click on any of them to get more awesome guitar lessons .
